As all of us gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I would like to suggest that there is one element of God’s love for us that we might want to spend some extra time and energy thanking Him for this year. It reaches beyond the physical blessings of clothing, food, shelter and the endless physical possessions with which He has showered down upon us . . . beyond the turkey and dressing . . . to one of His core values as the God of the universe and the Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This year (and every day we draw breath and enjoy life on loan from God), let us be especially thankful for God and His mercy.
