The Holy Spirit that is in us is not a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind.

That means we have a spirit of courage and confidence and boldness. 

Examples of those who faced fear in their lives were Joshua and Caleb, Daniel, David and Peter.  They faced many severe trials in their lives and showed courage in the face of those trials. We can learn lessons from their examples.
