John the Baptist had it right when proclaimed, “Behold, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world!”  Jesus was about to be baptized and would begin His earthly 3.5 year ministry shortly thereafter.  He was now about to start down a path that would eventually lead to betrayal by one of his own disciples,  a cruel mocking and scourging that would leave him disfigured beyond recognition and finally, death by crucifixion in the midst of two criminals . . .  and all within the space of about 15 hours!  As the Passover approaches, let’s review the events of the final hours of Jesus Christ’s life and in so doing, renew our admiration, deep love and respect for our Savior and soon coming King who willingly laid down His life for us all.
