What is a vision statement? A one sentence statement describing the clear and inspirational long-term change resulting from our work. This statement focuses primarily on what we hope to BECOME. A possible Vision Statement for our congregations: “The embodiment of the Church Christ said He would build”. What would THAT look like? What kind of impact should a body of people FILLED with God’s Holy Spirit have upon people who come into their midst? What would a group of people bearing all of the fruit of God’s Spirit in abundance look like? How would they act toward newcomers . . . TOWARD EACH OTHER? Can we establish a model, a prototype that will help us work toward the embodiment of that Church?
